Biography

Dr. Nesar Ahmed is working as an Assistant Professor (Ophthalmology) at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College, Gazipur. He is in private practice at Hikmah Eye Hospital, Khilgaon, Dhaka where he is serving as a consultant of orbit and ocluplastic services.

Experiences-
-Practicing cataract surgery- for about 8 years and did thousands of cataract surgeries.
- Practicing oculplasty- about 3 years.
- Practicing general ophthalmology- for about 11 years.

Works/Jobs-
After completing MBBS, Dr. Nesar Ahmed joined in Govt Service by BCS exam as an assistant surgeon in 2005 and worked in different upazila health complexes. Then he took ophthalmology thaining from Mymensingh Medical College Hospital and Naitonal Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital, Dhaka in 2013. He promoted to junior constant (Eye) and worked in 250 bed hospital, Gopalganj. In 2017 he come to Naitonal Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital, Dhaka for oculplasty training. In July 2019 he promoted to assitant professor (Eye). Now he is working as an assistant prof. (Eye) in Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College, Gazipur.

Education-
Dr. Md Nesar Ahmed Graduated MBBS form Faridpur Medical College 2001. Later he obtained MS (Eye) from Naitonal Institute of Ophthalmology, Dhaka (NIO&H) in January 2011. He has special training on microsurgery (SICS) from Islamia Eye Hospital and Institute in 2011. Then he completed long term fellowship training on Orbit and ocluplasty from Naitonal Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital, dhaka, in 2018.

Interest-
Ptosin surgery, Squint surgery, eyelid reconstruction, orbital surgery, Phaco surgery, teaching and research.
