Biography

Dr. Sarwar Alam (Nahid) is working as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at President Abdul Hamid Medical College, Kishoreganj and as a constant surgeon in department of ophthalmology at Abdul Hamid Foundation Hospital, Keraniganj, Dhaka. He is in private practice at Hikmah Eye Hospital.

Education-Dr. Sarwar Alam (Nahid) graduated MBBS from Sylhet under Shahajalal University of Science and Technology in 2010. Later he obtained diploma in Ophthalmology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in July, 2015.
He had post graduate training on small incision cataract surgery (SICS) from Islamia eye Hospital and Institute in 2017 and phaco emultifaction (Phaco) from Vision Eye Hospital.

Experiences- He has done more than 15,000 (fifteen thousand) of cataract surgery both SICS and phaco last 4 years,
Practicing general ophthalmology for more than 8 years.

Works/Jobs- After completing D-opth from BSMMU, Dr. Sarwar Alam (Nahid) joined Anwar Khan Modern Medical college as Resitrar in 2015. In 2017 he joined in Kishoreganj Eye Hospital as chief surgeon. In 2018 he joined in President Abdul Hamid Medical College as Assistant Professor and in Adbul Hamid Foundation Hospital as consultant and surgeon.

Interest- Refractive Cataract Surgery (Multifocal & Toric IOL), Complex Cataract, Congenital Glaucoma, Complex glaucoma, Teaching and Research.
