Dr. Md Akhter Hossain is working as Senior Consultant of Ophthalmology in Narayngonj 300 beded Hospital, Narayngonj. He is in private practice at Hikmah Specialized Eye Hospital, Khilgaon, Dhaka where he is serving for Cataract (Phaco Surgery), Uvea and General Ophthalmology.

Dr. Md. Akhter Hossain Joined in Govt. Service by 13th BCS (Health) in 1994. After Completing Masters (MS) in 2001, He Joined National Institute Of Ophthalmology & Hospital in June 2001 as Medical Officer, Then Promoted to Registrar in Eye Dept of Dhaka Medical Collage & Hospital in 2004. In 2009, He promoted to Junior Consultant. In 2014, he promoted to Senior Consultant of Ophthalomlogy. Now he is working as Head in department of Ophthalmology in 300 Bedded Hospital, Narayanganj.
Dr. Md. Akhter Hossain joined in Fashion Eye Hospital, Moghbazar, as Consultant in 2003. In 2010, he Started Private Practice in Khidmah Eye Center. After 5 Years he shifted his Practice in Hikmah Specialized Eye Hospital at Khilgaon, Dhaka in 2016.

Education-Dr. Md. Akhter Hossain Graduated MBBS from University of Dhaka in 1987. Later he obtained MS (Masters) in Ophthalmology from IPGM&R (Now BSMMU) under Dhaka University. He had Post graduate training on Phaco Surgery in National Institute of Ophthalmology & Hospital in 2003 & in Islamia Eye Institute in 2011.
