Biography

Dr. M Shariful Islam is now working as Assistant Professor is department of ophthalmology in Mugda Medical College & Hospital, Dhaka. He is doing his Private practice as a Glaucoma Specialist & Phaco surgeon in Hikmah Eye Hospital, Khilgaon, Dhaka.

Experiences-
-Practicing as an eye specialist for about 15 years, Practicing Glaucoma for more then 5 years.
-He is also practicing as a comprehensive ophthalmologist for about 15 years.
-He has interest on Advanced Phaco Surgery, Trub with combined Phaco and Trub Surgery, SLT, Glaucoma Drainage Device (4DD) implantation.

Works/Jobs-
He served as a Resident in the Ophthalmology Department at BIRDEM from 2005 to 2006. From 2013 to 2016, he worked as a consultant in the Glaucoma Department at the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital (NIO&H). He also gained experience as a consultant in the Glaucoma Department at Sheikh Fazilatun Nessa Mujib Eye Hospital & Training Institute (SFNMEHTI) in Gopalganj from 2017 to 2018.

Education-
Dr. M Shariful Islam completed his graduate (MBBS) from Dhaka Medical College under Dhaka University in 2000. Latest he obtained DO (Diploma in Ophthalmology) from Dhaka University in 2005. He had post graduate training in ophthalmology from Dhaka Medical College, BIRDEM & NIO&H, Dhaka. He obtained CCD (Certified Course Diabetology) From BIRDEM. He got his Glaucoma Fellowship from NIO&H.
